Duties/Responsibilities: Promote school readiness by enhancing children's social, cognitive, and overall development through educational, health, nutritional, and social services.
Comply with Head Start Program Performance Standards, the Head Start Act, 5-Year Grant, MiLeap-Child Care Licensing Bureau, USDA-CACFP Requirements, Great Start Readiness Implementation Manual, NMCAA Personnel Policies, and other relevant guidelines.
Follow agency processes, policies, procedures, and guidance. Adhere to the Child Protection Law, Staff and Volunteer Mandated Reporting Policy,
NMCAA's Early Childhood Guidance Policy and Code of Conduct. Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment using Creative Curriculum, School Readiness Goals, and Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), and conduct child developmental screenings and GOLD assessments. Utilize data from GOLD assessments, team input, and parent feedback for lesson planning and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and address behavioral challenges using Conscious Disciplineand a Classroom Support Plan. Be present during core hours with children and adapt to flexible schedules to meet family and team needs. Ensure a safe, healthy, and organized environment.
