Site Manager

Job Summary:

The Site Manager oversees the administration, coordination, and supervision of all Head Start/GSRP programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting the welfare of children. This role includes managing staff development. collaborating with the management team to implement safety and program policies, and fostering community partnerships to support the needs of children and famiUes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, the Head Start Act. Michigan Child Care Center Licensing Rules, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Implementation Manual. United States Department of Agriculture/Child and Adult Care Food Program/Michigan Department of Education (USDA/CACFP/MDE) Requirements, and Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCM} policies,
- Serve as Licensee Designee, ensuring a child-focused approach in all actions and maintaining facilities that support children's well-being.
- Develop. implement. and evaluate center policies and programs; oversee all Head Start/GSRP classrooms and staff management.
- Mentor and support staff, including partnering with the Management Team to provide remote services to children and families when necessary.
- Represent NMCM in a professional and supportive manner, continuously working towards program goals and improvements.
- Collaborate with the Management Team to provide oversight. coordination, and supervision of all activities in the Child and Family Development Department.
- Work with the team to implement health and safety practices ensuring the safety of children at all times, including staff training, equipment. and hygiene standards,
- Ensure the effective execution of eligibility, recruitment. selection, enrollment. and attendance
(ERSEA) processes.
- Maintain and update Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with community partners and encourage family involvement in education.
- Lead and facilitate various meetings, trainings, and evaluations to promote understanding of program philosophy. policies. and procedures, while supporting ongoing data analysis and participating in strategic planning.
- Assist in the Annual Self-Assessment process and the development of 5-year grant goals.
- Partner with the Director of Operations to ensure safe transportation and environment practices.
- Guide and provide resources to Site Supervisors and classroom staff.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's or higher in child development, early childhood education, human services, health, or related field.
- 2 semester hours or 3.0 CEUs in childcare admtnistration or an approved administrative credential.
- 5 years of experience in administration and management.
