EHS Classroom Aide -Fisher Building
Job Title: Classroom Aide EHS
Supervisory Responsibility: Reports to Family & Center Specialist or EHS Lead Admin Teacher
- Promote school readiness by enhancing children's social, cognitive, and overall development through educational, health, nutritional, and social services.
- Comply with Head Start Program Performance Standards, the Head Start Act, 5-Year Grant, MiLeap- Child Care Licensing Bureau, USDA-CACFP Requirements, NMCAA Personnel Policies, and other relevant guidelines.
- Follow agency processes, policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Adhere to the Child Protection Law, Staff and Volunteer Mandated Reporting Policy, NMCAA’s Early Childhood Guidance Policy and Code of Conduct.
- Support a developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records including food service inventory and procurement forms.
- Build relationships with school and food service personnel.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and organized environment. Implement emergency procedures. Utilize Active Supervision practices.
- Follow policies on health care needs, food allergies, medication administration, and authorized adult releases.
- Report incidents and accidents as required.
- Assist in maintaining a child-friendly environment and collaborate with staff to support day-to-day operations.
Sit with children during mealtimes, share the menu, and engage in conversation using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) tool. - Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GE
